1. How much does a corset cost?
Bespoke corsets start from £270, prices vary slightly depending on design, fabric and features.
2. Are Gilly Woo corsets steel boned?
All Gilly Woo corsets have at least 8 steels as standard but more or less can be added depending on individual requirements, for example, a singer may require a less structured style while if you are looking for dramatic waist reduction you may require up to 20 steel bones.
Gilly Woo can cater for all levels of structure and shape as everything we make is made from scratch to suit the individual and every pattern is cut specifically for the client.
3. How much is a wedding dress?
Bridal gowns vary dramatically depending on design, style, structure and fabric. Most bridal gowns cost between £800 and £2500 some very simple styles may cost less.
4. How long does it take to make a bespoke outfit?

It will depend on work load, time of year and what is required, often we can make an outfit from consultation to finished garment in a week but to be sure, especially for bridal gowns we recommend a consultation 6 months in advance of your wedding date if possible.
5. Do you stock fabrics,?
At our workshop we carry a massive range of silk samples in hundreds of colours we also carry samples of a smaller range of polysatins and synthetic fabrics.
We are happy to source any fabric samples that we don't stock or for the client to provide there own fabric.
6. How many fitting will I need?
Gilly Woo is dedicated to achieving the 'perfect fit' generally you will need between 2 and 5 fittings depending on what you are having made though this can vary as all patterns are cut from scratch.
7. Do you use commercial patterns?
As a rule we cut all our patterns to suit the individual client, we feel that a far better fit and over all result can be achieved by working in this way. However if we are required to use a commercial pattern for a clients particular needs we are happy to do so.
8. Do you do alteration to existing garments, for example shortening trousers or replacing a zip?
We are happy to do alterations if we have the time in our schedule, if we are too busy we can usually recommend a good local dressmaker.
